Hi, my name is Debbie, and I make handcrafted jewelry, using a variety of hardware components.

I live in eastern Washington State on a small acre of land, with five dogs, a cat and a family of fifteen geese.  I've always loved working with my hands, when my children were small I did a lot of sewing, but it became, boring.  So I used what I knew and started quilting using a frame and my fingers.  Most quilters were using the new machines, but I felt in my heart it was somehow cheating, so I stayed true to old school.  Over the years I took up wood working and just loved cruising the hardware stores for, well something I didn't know just yet.  Then I came up with the idea of painting on metal washers, just for something to do, there was no intent on making jewelry.  But the idea grew into what it is today, a totally organic technique to turn a washer into a beautifully embellished jewel.  So know that I'm a person that likes using my head and hands and hope you'll appreciate what anyone can do when they think outside of their own box, and stand true to their old school ways.
